The trumpet, over the years has become very important in the art of jazz. Over the years, artists ranging from Dizzy Gillespie to Miles Davis have proven the trumpet's ability to play soft and mellow, or loud and screaming. This page was compiled by a jazz trumpeter in the hopes of teaching up-and-coming jazz trumpeters how to do some interesting jazz tricks on the trumpet.
You can never play jazz the way it is exactly written on the sheet. That's not music. To make it music, you must, among other things add little ornaments in here and there. We'll now show you how to do those little things.
