Twisted News & Trivia
---This page was the first Twisted fan site on the web (that I'm aware of), and I even invited Dee to take a look when I first posted it back in '96. After I got an email of approval from the "Sick One" himself, I knew that I was on to something. It's been almost ten years now, and thousands of visitors later. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone. I have no new news to report that can't easily be found on deesnider.com or twistedsister.com. Hell, it's even been almost a year since I've added or updated anything to this page. Just Stay Sick, everyone. While metal will never come back to its level of popularity of twenty years ago, it'll never truly die. Keep the faith, and Stay Sick.
---Did you know that according to Twisted Sister: The First Official Book by Garry Bushell and Mark Weiss Under the Blade was recorded in a barn?? And I quote, "Yep, you read that right --- a barn, complete with bales of hay as screens and cowpats on the floor."
---Did you know that the boys in Twisted challenged Hanoi Rocks and Manowar to a street fight back in '83 while in England? Twisted showed up the next day in jeans and leather with a growing crowd of English SMFs cheering them on, but neither of the other groups showed up! This story came from The Official Twisted Sister Book and was confirmed by Dee and AJ.
---Did you know that the cover photo of Under the Blade was done by the same guy that did Ozzy's Diary of a Madman? Jay mentions it on a bootleg I just got...
--- Did you know that "You Can't Stop Rock and Roll" (the song) was actually written during the "Under the Blade" era? Dee says that they had originally wanted to include it on the UTB album, but because of public sentiment, having "Rock and Roll" in the title might hurt sales. To quote Dee on this, "Go figure..."
